FIELD TESTS
Soil Investigation
Soil investigation forms the foundation of any infrastructure project. Our in‑depth geotechnical surveys determine soil composition, stratification, and bearing capacity. We gather core samples, perform laboratory tests, and evaluate groundwater conditions to support safe, cost‑effective foundation design. Our insights help engineers assess settlement risks, design foundations, and prepare accurate earthwork plans to ensure structural stability.
Plate Load Test
The plate load test measures soil’s load‑bearing capacity directly in the field. We place a steel plate on a prepared foundation surface and apply incrementally increased loads, recording settlement at each stage. This test simulates real loading conditions, enabling engineers to assess settlement behavior, optimize foundation design, and confirm bearing capacity, ensuring safe and efficient support for buildings and structures.
Standard Penetration Test
SPT provides critical data on soil hardness and density. As a borehole is driven into the ground, we record the number of hammer blows required to advance a standard sampler. The resulting “N-value” reveals subsurface stratification, supports liquefaction analysis, and aids in foundation design. This internationally recognized test delivers practical insights for geotechnical engineers, environmental consultants, and project planners.
Field Permeability Test
Our field permeability tests measure how quickly water moves through soil layers under natural conditions. Using infiltrometers or borehole techniques, we evaluate hydraulic conductivity for applications like drainage design, dewatering, and assessing interaction with groundwater. Accurate permeability data is essential for foundation design, seepage control, and ensuring project sustainability.

Electrical Resistivity Test
Electrical resistivity testing maps subsurface conditions by measuring soil’s resistance to electrical current. Variations in resistivity indicate changes in moisture, porosity, and rock presence. Our field surveys identify groundwater levels, karst features, voids, and layered structures. Non‑invasive and versatile, it supports foundation planning, landslide risk assessment, and geotechnical characterization.
Dynamic Cone Penetration Test
The DCPT provides a quick, direct measure of soil strength in situ. A cone‑shaped probe is driven into the ground with a dropping weight, and penetration per blow is recorded. This lightweight, mobile method delivers reliable data for assessing compaction, bearing capacity, and subsurface stratification, making it ideal for roads, pavements, and shallow foundations.
Determination of Modulus of Subgrade Reaction
This parameter, vital for flexible pavement and foundation design, quantifies soil response per unit load. Using in‑situ load tests or plate load tests, we determine the modulus (k-value), enabling accurate prediction of deflection under traffic or structural loads. These values feed into design codes, ensuring longevity and serviceability of pavements and structural footings.
Field Density by Sand Replacement
Accurate field density tests ensure that compacted earth works meet specification standards. We excavate a small cavity, replace it with calibrated sand, and calculate soil density on‑site. This method verifies compaction quality in road bases, embankments, foundation subgrades, and trenches—crucial for preventing settlement, achieving strength, and enhancing durability.
Core Cutting & Testing
We extract soil or rock cores using specialized coring rigs for laboratory or field analysis. Core samples maintain natural structure, allowing testing for density, moisture content, compressive strength, and stratigraphic interpretation. These undisturbed samples are essential for advanced geotechnical investigations, rock mass characterization, and calibration of subsurface models.
Topographical Survey
Our precise topographical surveys capture existing ground features, elevations, and infrastructure footprints. Using total stations, GPS, and drone-enabled mapping, we generate detailed contour maps, cross-sections, and site plans. This spatial dataset supports master planning, earthwork estimation, drainage design, utility layout, and compliance with regulatory submissions—ensuring successful project execution.

Drone Survey
Drone surveys provide high-resolution spatial data rapidly and safely. We deploy drones equipped with advanced cameras and LiDAR to capture orthophotos, topography, stockpile volumes, and site mapping. Ideal for inaccessible or large areas, our aerial surveys support construction monitoring, earthworks planning, and progress validation—all with high accuracy and expedited timelines.
